We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Furniture Inventory Manager to oversee the management, tracking, and documentation of our furniture inventory. This role involves ensuring that all furniture items are accurately accounted for, maintaining stock levels, handling procurement, and ensuring proper storage of furniture for smooth business operations.
Inventory Management:
Maintain an accurate record of all furniture in the inventory.
Track stock levels, sales, and orders of furniture.
Conduct regular stock audits and inventory checks to ensure accuracy.
Procurement & Stock Replenishment:
Coordinate with suppliers and vendors to ensure timely procurement of new furniture or restocking.
Ensure optimal inventory levels are maintained, avoiding overstocking or stockouts.
Storage & Organization:
Ensure furniture is stored correctly and protected from damage.
Organize and categorize inventory for easy accessibility and inventory management.
Reporting & Documentation:
Prepare and submit regular reports on furniture stock levels, sales, and any discrepancies.
Keep detailed records of inventory movements, including transfers, returns, and stock adjustments.
Quality Control:
Inspect incoming furniture for quality and compliance with purchase orders.
Report damaged or defective furniture and coordinate returns or replacements with suppliers.
Customer & Internal Support:
Assist sales, purchasing, and other departments in understanding inventory levels and availability.
Provide accurate information about the inventory to customers when needed.
Proven experience in inventory management or a similar role.
Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
Ability to use inventory management software and Microsoft Office tools (Excel, Word, etc.).
Knowledge of furniture types, styles, and materials is a plus.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Attention to detail and high level of accuracy in record-keeping.
Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
Familiarity with inventory management software such as SAP, Oracle, or similar.
Experience working in the furniture retail or wholesale industry.
Office-based with occasional site visits to warehouses or furniture showrooms.
Commensurate with experience.
