Accounts Assistant - Job Description
Responsibilities:
• Assist in maintaining financial records, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger entries.
• Process invoices, payments, and receipts, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company policies.
• Reconcile bank statements and resolve discrepancies.
• Assist with the preparation of financial statements, reports, and budgets.
• Track employee expenses and process reimbursements.
• Maintain accurate records of financial transactions and assist with audits.
• Prepare and submit tax-related documents and assist in tax filing processes. Work with external auditors and tax consultants when required.
• Handle petty cash and ensure proper documentation of expenses.
• Support senior accountants with various accounting tasks and administrative duties.
• Maintain filing systems for financial documents and reports.
• Communicate with vendors, clients, and other departments regarding payment inquiries. Monitor project expenses and provide cost analysis reports.
• Assist in preparing quotations and contracts related to financial matters.
Requirements and Skills:
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (or pursuing).
• Min 1 year of experience in an accounting or finance role, preferably in the design, architecture, or construction industry.
• Proficient in MS Office (Excel, Word) and accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Tally).
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work with numbers.
• Good communication and organizational skills.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
• Knowledge of basic accounting principles and practices.
Preferred:
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
