Job Overview:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Account Assistant to support our finance and accounting team. The ideal candidate will assist in the day-to-day accounting operations, manage financial records, process transactions, and support the preparation of financial statements and reports.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist with maintaining accurate financial records and ensuring the timely processing of transactions.
Prepare and process invoices, payments, and receipts.
Reconcile accounts, including bank statements and general ledgers.
Assist in preparing financial reports, budgets, and forecasts.
Ensure compliance with accounting regulations and internal policies.
Handle accounts payable and accounts receivable functions.
Assist in the preparation of tax filings and audits.
Provide general administrative support to the accounting team, including filing, data entry, and document management.
Assist with monthly and year-end closing processes.
Respond to inquiries from vendors, clients, and other stakeholders related to accounts.
Support the preparation and filing of financial documents and reports as needed.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (or equivalent experience).
Proven experience in accounting or bookkeeping (entry-level candidates may be considered).
Familiarity with accounting software and tools Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Knowledge of accounting principles and practices.
Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to handle confidential information.
