Accounts Manager

Key Responsibilities:

Financial Management:

• Supervise the day-to-day operations of the accounting department.

• Monitor and control all hotel expenses and revenue to ensure profitability.

• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports and statements.

• Manage cash flow, forecasting, and budgeting processes.

• Ensure accurate ledger postings and reconciliations (bank, receivables, payables, etc.).

Compliance & Controls:

• Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations, as well as company policies.

• Coordinate internal and external audits and implement audit recommendations.

• Maintain proper documentation and internal control systems.

Team Leadership:

• Lead, mentor, and train the accounting staff.

• Assign duties and review work for accuracy and compliance.

• Evaluate performance and support employee development.

Hotel-Specific Duties:

• Collaborate with other hotel departments (Front Office, F&B, Housekeeping) on financial matters.

• Monitor and analyze daily revenue reports (from PMS, POS, etc.).

• Reconcile guest accounts, credit card transactions, and chargebacks.

• Assist in pricing strategies, cost control, and inventory management.

Qualifications & Skills:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (CPA or MBA preferred).

• Minimum 5 years of experience in accounting, with at least 2 years in a managerial role (preferably in hospitality).

• Strong knowledge of hospitality accounting systems (e.g., Opera, SunSystems, SAP, QuickBooks, etc.).

• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and financial reporting tools.

• Excellent analytical, communication, and organizational skills.

• Ability to handle multiple tasks and meet tight deadlines.

Working Conditions:

• Full-time role; may require weekends or holidays depending on reporting deadlines.

• Office-based but involves collaboration with all hotel departments.
