GST Consultant

Job Summary: We are seeking a skilled and experienced GST Consultant to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of GST regulations, compliance, and tax planning. The consultant will be responsible for advising the company on all GST-related matters, ensuring tax compliance, and providing strategic guidance to minimize liabilities.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide expert advice on Goods and Services Tax (GST) compliance and tax planning.

• Ensure timely and accurate filing of GST returns (GSTR-1, GSTR-3B, GSTR-9, etc.).

• Stay up-to-date with the latest GST laws, amendments, and notifications.

• Review and monitor the GST impact on business transactions, contracts, and agreements.

• Assist in conducting GST audits and ensuring the business is compliant with GST rules.

• Develop strategies to optimize GST-related processes and improve the company's tax position.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Finance, Accounts, Legal) to ensure seamless GST implementation and compliance.

• Provide training and guidance to internal teams on GST-related matters.

• Assist in preparing and reviewing GST-related documentation for internal and external audits.

• Represent the company in front of tax authorities, as needed.

Skills and Qualifications:

• Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Commerce, Accounting, or a related field (preferably with specialization in Taxation).

• Proven experience as a GST Consultant or similar role (X+ years of experience).

• In-depth knowledge of GST laws, regulations, and compliance requirements.

• Familiarity with GST software/tools and ERP systems.

• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.

• Attention to detail and ability to handle complex tasks under tight deadlines.

• Ability to provide strategic and practical advice on tax matters.
