Junior Accountant

Job Overview:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Junior Accountant to join our finance team. The ideal candidate will have at least one year of experience in accounting and will be responsible for assisting in daily financial operations, ensuring accurate financial recordkeeping, and supporting senior accountants in various accounting tasks.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist in the preparation of financial statements, reports, and summaries.

• Help in the reconciliation of general ledger accounts.

• Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable, ensuring timely processing and accuracy.

• Prepare and process invoices, payments, and financial transactions.

• Support monthly, quarterly, and year-end close processes.

• Assist with payroll processing and tax filings.

• Maintain accurate records of financial transactions and ensure compliance with accounting principles.

• Assist in the preparation of budgets and financial forecasts.

• Respond to inquiries from vendors, customers, and internal teams regarding financial matters.

• Support audits by preparing necessary documentation and reports.

• Collaborate with the senior accounting team to improve accounting processes and internal controls.

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 1 year of experience in accounting or finance.

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (or equivalent experience).

• Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP, etc.) and MS Office (especially Excel).

• Knowledge of accounting principles and financial regulations.

• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.

• Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.

• Strong organizational and communication skills.

• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
