We are looking for a detail-oriented Senior Accountant to join our team at Pearl Enterprises in Thane, Mumbai, located at Wagle Estate. The role involves managing financial transactions of the organization, preparing accurate reports, and ensuring compliance with tax regulations. The position offers ₹25000 - ₹30000 and opportunities for professional growth.
Key Responsibilities:
Prepare and analyze comprehensive monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
Conduct in-depth variance analysis, identifying and explaining deviations from budgets and forecasts.
Oversee and manage project costing, including tracking work-in-progress (WIP) and applying percentage-of-completion accounting.
Ensure accurate and timely project billing and invoicing, reconciling project cost ledgers and resolving discrepancies.
Maintain the integrity of the general ledger, performing regular account reconciliations and managing fixed asset accounting.
Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable processes, ensuring timely and accurate processing of transactions.
Ensure strict compliance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP), International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS), and relevant tax regulations (GST, TDS).
Assist with internal and external audits, providing necessary documentation and support to auditors.
Contribute to the development and monitoring of annual budgets and financial forecasts.
Collaborate closely with project managers, engineers, and other departments to ensure accurate financial data and project cost tracking.
Monitor and report on project profitability, identifying areas for cost optimization and revenue enhancement.
Implement and maintain robust internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure financial accuracy.
Identify and implement process improvements to streamline financial operations and enhance efficiency.
Mentor and provide guidance to junior accounting staff, fostering their professional development.
Prepare and present detailed financial reports and presentations to senior management.
Manage the monthly, quarterly and yearly closing process.
Track and report on project related contingencies and risk.
Assist in the preparation of financial data for contract negotiations and reviews.
Maintain accurate records of all financial transactions and supporting documentation.
Ensure accurate reporting of all tax related information.
Job Requirements:
A perfect candidate for this role should have a strong background in bookkeeping and a keen eye for numerical accuracy. The minimum qualification for the role is Graduate and 3-4 years of experience in accounting or finance. Candidates must have knowledge about accounting and GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles).
