Tax Assistant

We are looking for a detail-oriented Tax Assistant to join our team at M/s O.M Kejriwal & Co. in Bhubaneswar. The role involves managing the organization's financial transactions, preparing accurate reports, and ensuring compliance with tax regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Ensure timely tax filings, computations, and compliance with regulatory requirements.

• Securely manage and back up financial data while maintaining confidentiality.

• Prepare accurate financial statements, balance sheets, and profit/loss reports.

• Oversee daily financial transactions, including accounts payable, receivable, and reconciliations.

Job Requirements:

A perfect candidate for this role should have a strong background in bookkeeping and a keen eye for numerical accuracy. The minimum qualification for the role is Graduation and 6 months to 2 years years of experience in accounting or finance. Candidates must know accounting and GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles).

Tax Assistant will see you placed within an accounting firm, tax preparation company, or within the in-house tax departments of large corporations. Typically, Tax Clerks are responsible for collating financial information, reviewing documents, and ensuring compliance with tax laws and regulations. The role may also dive into the assistance of calculating tax liabilities, deductions, and credits to ensure accurate tax filings.

Calculating taxable income, deductions, and credits.
Assisting in the preparation of various tax forms, including individual tax returns.
