Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Senior Draughtsman & Designer to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for preparing detailed technical drawings and designs based on engineering and architectural specifications. They should have a strong understanding of design standards, drafting tools, and coordination with multiple teams to ensure quality and accuracy of the final designs.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare 2D and 3D drawings using AutoCAD, SolidWorks, Revit, or other relevant software.

• Interpret architectural, structural, and MEP drawings and translate them into detailed shop drawings.

• Collaborate with engineers and project teams to understand design requirements and provide technical solutions.

• Create as-built drawings and modify existing drawings based on redline markups or client revisions.

• Maintain design documentation and version control.

• Ensure designs adhere to relevant codes, standards, and company guidelines.

• Participate in design reviews and provide inputs for value engineering.

• Coordinate with vendors and clients for design clarifications.

• Mentor junior draughtsmen when required.

• Maintain drawing logs and ensure timely submission.

Requirements:

• Diploma or Degree in Engineering/Drafting or equivalent.

• Proven experience as a Draughtsman/Designer in [civil/mechanical/electrical] engineering.

• Proficient in AutoCAD, Revit, SolidWorks, or relevant design software.

• Strong knowledge of construction/design standards and practices.

• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications.

• Attention to detail and accuracy.

• Good communication and coordination skills.

• Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience in BIM (Building Information Modeling) is an added advantage.

• Familiarity with local authority submission procedures.

• Exposure to international codes and standards (like ASME, ISO, BS, etc.)
