Key Responsibilities:
1. Procurement & Vendor Management:
Identify, evaluate, and negotiate with domestic & international suppliers to ensure cost-effective purchasing.
Develop and maintain strong relationships with vendors, ensuring timely delivery and quality standards.
Conduct market research to identify new sourcing opportunities and cost-saving measures.
2. Import & Export Operations:
Handle complete import & export documentation, including LCs, Bill of Entry, Bill of Lading, HS Codes, and Customs Clearance.
Coordinate with freight forwarders, customs agents, and regulatory authorities for smooth international shipments.
Ensure compliance with EXIM (Export-Import) policies, DGFT, and customs regulations.
3. Cost Optimization & Inventory Control:
Monitor and analyze purchase costs to enhance efficiency and reduce procurement expenses.
Maintain optimal inventory levels, avoiding stockouts or excess inventory.
Develop strategies for duty exemptions, cost savings, and better trade agreements.
4. Compliance & Documentation:
Ensure adherence to international trade laws, import-export regulations, and documentation accuracy.
Stay updated on GST, import duties, and trade agreements that impact procurement.
Maintain supplier agreements, purchase orders, and shipment records.
5. Coordination & Stakeholder Management:
Work closely with finance, logistics, and warehouse teams to ensure seamless supply chain operations.
Liaise with government authorities (Customs, DGFT, etc.) for import-export approvals.
Provide regular reports on procurement performance, cost analysis, and supplier evaluations.
Required Skills & Competencies:
✅ Strong knowledge of Import-Export regulations, customs clearance, and international trade policies.
✅ Proficiency in handling LCs, Incoterms, HS Codes, and trade compliance.
✅ Excellent negotiation, communication, and supplier relationship management skills.
✅ Familiarity with ERP systems and procurement software.
✅ Strong analytical and problem-solving skills for cost reduction and process improvement.
Preferred Experience:
Prior experience in the industrial tools, manufacturing, or engineering sector.
Exposure to sourcing from China, Europe, or other international markets.
Knowledge of EXIM policies, foreign trade agreements, and logistics coordination.
