Responsibilities:
1. Proactively identify, evaluate, and establish relationships with local farmers, agricultural cooperatives, wholesalers, and other reliable sources of fresh produce, ensuring a diverse and resilient supply chain.
2. Conduct thorough negotiations on pricing, supply agreements, quality standards, and delivery terms to secure the most favorable conditions while maintaining strong supplier partnerships. ,
3. Implement and enforce rigorous quality control procedures at all stages of procurement, from farm to delivery, to guarantee the freshness and quality of all produce in our vending machines.
4. Monitor local market trends, weather patterns, and crop yields to anticipate potential supply challenges or opportunities and proactively adjust procurement plans.
5. Collaborate closely with the logistics and operations teams to optimize the transportation, storage, and inventory management of fresh produce, minimizing spoilage and maximizing freshness at vending locations.
6. Establish efficient and transparent procurement processes, including purchase order generation, tracking, and vendor payment, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
7. Regularly assess and monitor the performance of suppliers against agreed-upon metrics (quality, delivery, price), address any issues, and foster continuous improvement.
8. Implement strategies to reduce waste throughout the procurement and handling process, contributing to sustainability and cost efficiency.
09. Stay updated on food safety regulations and best practices relevant to the handling and distribution of fresh food and ensure compliance across the supply chain.
10. Maintain accurate and detailed procurement records, including supplier contracts, pricing information, and quality control documentation.
