Job Role: Assistant Works Manager - Beth Lifestyle Factory
Key Responsibilities:
Production Management:
Oversee the manufacturing processes of sheet metal components, including cutting, punching, bending, sub-assembly, and coloring processes such as painting and powder coating.
Treat the final assembly team as the customer, ensuring sub-assemblies and colored components are delivered on time and meet required quality standards.
Coordinate with the final assembly team to align production outputs with their needs and timelines.
Process Coordination:
Manage workflows to ensure the smooth progression of components through manufacturing and coloring processes.
Monitor production schedules to ensure colored components are readily available for final assembly without delays.
Quality Control:
Conduct stringent quality checks at each stage, particularly for colored and sub-assembled components, to ensure defect-free outputs.
Maintain strict adherence to organizational quality standards and customer expectations.
Resource Planning and Optimization:
Plan and allocate resources, including materials, equipment, and workforce, for efficient production and coloring operations.
Collaborate with the Works Manager to optimize processes and minimize waste.
Team Support and Development:
Supervise production teams, providing clear guidance and resolving operational issues.
Train and mentor team members to enhance technical skills and align with production goals.
Problem-Solving:
Identify and address bottlenecks or issues in production, coloring, and sub-assembly processes to minimize disruptions.
Implement corrective actions and continuous improvement measures to enhance efficiency.
Skills and Qualifications:
Technical Expertise:
Experience in sheet metal fabrication, sub-assembly, and coloring processes like painting and powder coating.
Understanding of production workflows and their alignment with final assembly needs.
Customer-Oriented Mindset:
Ability to align production outputs to the requirements of the final assembly team, ensuring timely and quality-focused delivery.
Leadership Skills: Proven ability to guide and support teams toward achieving production goals.
Task-Oriented: Strong focus on meeting deadlines and ensuring seamless delivery of components.
Team Player: Collaborative mindset with excellent interpersonal skills.
Educational Qualifications:
Diploma in Mechanical Engineering (DME) or Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (BETCH) preferred.
Preferred Experience:
3 to 4 years of experience in manufacturing, with at least 1 to 2 years in the sheet metal industry.
Demonstrated success in managing production and coloring processes with a focus on delivering high-quality sub-assemblies to final assembly teams.
