Job Title: Field Supervisor – Crane Rental Operations


Location: Narol , Ahmedabad

Job Type: Full-Time

Salary: Competitive package of ₹17,000 to ₹19,000 plus a variable TA of ₹3,000 + Yearly Bonus + Other Perk & Benefits by the employers

Our success is built on the expertise of our team, and we are looking for a proactive Field Supervisor with a solid background in automobile mechanics and heavy machinery to take charge of our crane rental operations.

Job Summary:
The Field Supervisor will oversee daily operations, ensuring the smooth functioning of crane operations and related machinery maintenance. This role requires strong technical know-how, excellent team management skills, and a commitment to maintaining high safety and quality standards. The ideal candidate will manage both the operational and administrative aspects of the job, from supervising crane operators to managing maintenance documentation and client relationships.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervisory & Operational Oversight:

    • Manage and coordinate all crane operations, supervising both crane operators and overall crane functionality.

    • Ensure that work performed by the operators is efficient, safe, and meets company standards.

    • Monitor and record operator attendance and maintain daily log sheets.

  • Maintenance & Documentation:

    • Oversee the upkeep of crane maintenance sheets and related documentation.

    • Maintain accurate records for all crane documents and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.

  • Reporting & Analysis:

    • Prepare detailed reports and MIS on machine expenses including maintenance costs, wear and tear, and related expenditures.

    • Analyze data to identify trends and propose improvements to minimize downtime and expenses.

  • Field Inspections & Client Relations:

    • Conduct site visits and inspections every 2-3 months (and immediately when required) to ensure all equipment and operations adhere to safety and quality standards.

    • Act as the company representative by managing client relationships and addressing any concerns promptly.

  • Additional Senior Supervisor Duties:

    • Implement continuous improvement initiatives aimed at optimizing crane operations and reducing operational costs.

    • Mentor and coach field staff to build a high-performing team and promote a culture of safety and accountability.

    • Collaborate with upper management to review operational performance and strategize for future growth.

Qualifications:

  • Education & Experience:

    • Minimum of 1 year of experience in a similar role within the heavy equipment or crane rental industry.

    • Diploma in Engineering or a related field (Bachelor’s degree is an added advantage).

  • Technical Skills:

    • Strong understanding of automobile mechanics and heavy machinery.

    • Ability to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues on-site.

    • Familiarity with preventive maintenance programs and documentation practices.

  • Leadership & Communication:

    • Proven supervisory skills with the ability to effectively manage and motivate a team.

    • Excellent communication skills for coordinating with team members, clients, and management.

    • Strong organizational and time-management skills.

  • Other Requirements:

    • Valid driver’s license and a clean driving record.

    • Willingness to work flexible hours as required (standard hours are 9:30 AM to 7:00 PM, but may vary based on operational needs).
