The Store Manager in the FMCG sector is responsible for overseeing all aspects of the store’s operations, ensuring efficient supply chain processes, optimizing sales performance, and delivering exceptional customer service. Key Responsibilities
1. Store Operations
Manage day-to-day store operations, ensuring smooth and efficient functioning.
Oversee stock levels, inventory accuracy, and timely replenishment to meet customer demands.
Ensure compliance with FMCG industry standards, company policies, and local regulations.
Monitor store safety and hygiene standards, particularly for food and perishable goods.
2. Sales and Profitability
Achieve sales targets and contribute to the store's profitability.
Analyze sales performance, customer trends, and inventory turnover to optimize revenue.
Implement pricing strategies, promotions, and discounts in line with company directives.
3. Inventory Management
Manage inventory control processes to minimize shrinkage and wastage.
Conduct regular stock audits and ensure timely reordering of fast-moving items.
Coordinate with suppliers and warehouse teams to ensure product availability.
4. Customer Service
Ensure a high standard of customer service by addressing complaints and resolving issues promptly.
Train staff on product knowledge and customer interaction to enhance the shopping experience.
Build and maintain strong relationships with key customers and the community.
5. Team Leadership
Recruit, train, and manage store staff, fostering a collaborative and motivated team.
Conduct regular performance evaluations and provide constructive feedback.
Schedule staff shifts and manage workload distribution effectively.
6. Visual Merchandising and Promotions
Ensure the store layout and product displays align with FMCG marketing guidelines.
Execute promotional campaigns and seasonal displays to drive sales.
Monitor competitor activity and recommend strategies to stay competitive.
7. Reporting and Financial Management
Prepare and present sales, inventory, and financial reports to senior management.
Manage cash flow, including daily reconciliations and bank deposits.
Monitor and control operational expenses to ensure profitability.
Qualifications
Education and Experience
Bachelor’s degree in business administration, retail management, or a related field (preferred).
3-5 years of experience in store management, preferably in the FMCG industry.

Strong understanding of FMCG market dynamics, supply chain, and inventory management.
Excellent leadership and team management abilities.
