The Medical Representative (MR) is responsible for promoting and selling pharmaceutical products to healthcare professionals, including doctors, pharmacists, and other relevant medical staff. Their role is vital in building strong relationships, achieving sales targets, and representing the company's products ethically and professionally.
Product Promotion: Visit healthcare professionals regularly to promote products, explain their benefits, and answer queries.
Sales Achievement: Meet and exceed sales targets and market share goals within assigned territory.
Market Intelligence: Collect and report competitor information, customer feedback, and market trends to management.
Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with doctors, pharmacists, and healthcare institutions.
Product Knowledge: Maintain up-to-date knowledge about products, therapies, diseases, and the healthcare industry.
Reporting: Submit daily reports on activities, appointments, feedback, and sales outcomes to the reporting manager.
Event Participation: Represent the company at medical conferences, workshops, and promotional events.
Compliance: Ensure adherence to industry regulations, ethical guidelines, and internal company policies.
Bachelor’s degree in Pharmacy, Life Sciences, Medicine, or related fields (preferred).
Proven experience as a Medical Representative or similar role (preferred but not always mandatory for entry-level).
Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
Strong organizational and time management abilities.
Ability to learn scientific information quickly and explain it clearly.
Self-motivated with a strong achievement orientation.
Proficient in MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
Field-based work with frequent travel within assigned territory.
Regular interactions with healthcare professionals in clinics, hospitals, and pharmacies.
