Job Responsibilities:
1. Accounting & Financial Management:
Maintain financial records, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger.
Process invoices, payments, and reconciliations.
Handle banking transactions and prepare financial statements.
2. Inventory & Valuation:
Maintain accurate records of gold, diamonds, gemstones, and other jewellery items.
Assist in stock audits, valuation, and pricing of jewellery.
Track weight losses/gains in jewellery production and sales.
3. Taxation & Compliance:
Ensure compliance with GST, VAT, and other tax regulations related to jewellery business.
Prepare tax returns, file reports, and coordinate with tax authorities.
Stay updated on financial regulations affecting the jewellery industry.
4. Costing & Pricing:
Assist in jewellery costing, taking into account raw materials, labor, and market fluctuations.
Help in pricing strategies based on market trends and profitability analysis.
5. Financial Reporting & Auditing:
Generate financial reports like profit & loss statements, balance sheets, and cash flow reports.
Assist in internal and external audits by providing necessary financial documents.
6. MIS & ERP Software Management:
Use accounting software like Tally, SAP, or customized jewellery ERP systems.
Maintain real-time financial and inventory data for business decision-making.
Qualifications & Skills:
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
Experience in jewellery accounting or a similar industry preferred.
Proficiency in accounting software (Tally, SAP, QuickBooks, or jewellery ERP).
Strong knowledge of taxation (GST, VAT) and jewellery valuation.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
Attention to detail and ability to manage multiple financial records.
Work Environment:
Typically works in jewellery showrooms, manufacturing units, or corporate offices.
May require coordination with auditors, suppliers, and financial institutions.
