Accountant (Retail line)

Role Overview:
The accountant is responsible for managing financial transactions, preparing reports, ensuring tax compliance, and collaborating with store managers to optimize financial performance. The role requires practical knowledge of accounting software, financial analysis, and retail-specific financial metrics.

Key Responsibilities:
Financial Reporting: Prepare and review financial statements (income statement, balance sheet, cash flow).
Sales & Cash Reconciliation: Reconcile daily sales and cash transactions to ensure accuracy.
Inventory & Cost Management: Track inventory levels, manage costs, and assist with pricing strategies.
Budgeting & Forecasting: Assist in preparing budgets, forecasts, and perform financial analysis.
Tax Compliance: Ensure tax filings are accurate and timely, complying with local laws.
Payroll Management: Oversee payroll processing and ensure accurate deductions.
Internal Controls & Audits: Implement internal controls, assist in audits, and safeguard company assets.
Collaboration: Work closely with retail managers to analyze financial data and optimize business operations.
Key Skills:
Practical Knowledge: Proficient in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP, or similar), Microsoft Excel for data analysis, and retail-specific accounting functions.
Strong Accounting Knowledge: Deep understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting.
Attention to Detail: Ability to spot discrepancies in financial records and perform accurate reconciliations.
Financial Analysis: Ability to analyze sales trends, margins, and cost structures to provide actionable insights.
Retail-Specific Metrics: Knowledge of metrics such as gross margin, turnover rates, and inventory valuation.
Salary:
20,000 to 30,000 per month (depending on experience).
