Role Title: Head of Department – Finance

Job Summary:
The Finance HOD will oversee the entire financial operations, accounting practices, budgeting, taxation, cost control, statutory compliance, and strategic planning of the organization. This role ensures financial health, transparency, and integrity in line with the company’s objectives.
Key Responsibilities:
Financial Accounting & Reporting
Maintain and finalize books of accounts including general ledger, trial balance, and MIS.
Ensure timely financial closure and compliance with audit and accounting standards.
Finance Control & Authorization
Supervise approvals for credit, payments, and vendor/customer transactions.
Monitor fund flows, ensuring adequate liquidity and adherence to company policy.
Budgeting & Forecasting
Lead the preparation of annual budgets and financial forecasts.
Conduct variance analysis and propose corrective measures.
Cost Control & Efficiency
Implement internal cost controls and conduct variance analysis on BoMs.
Drive cost optimization initiatives across departments.
Taxation & Statutory Compliance
Oversee GST, TDS, PF, and other statutory filings with consultants and authorities.
Ensure full compliance with regulatory and legal requirements.
Process Improvements & Audit
Lead internal financial audits and coordinate with external auditors.
Enhance finance processes and systems for better transparency and control.
Key Performance Indicators (KPIs):
100% adherence to financial processes and deadlines.
Timely and accurate submission of statutory returns.
Achievement of budgeting accuracy and cost reduction targets.
Compliance with internal and external audit requirements.
Improvement in working capital and liquidity ratios.
Qualifications & Experience:
CA/MBA Finance or equivalent qualification.
10+ years of experience in financial leadership, with at least 3-5 years in a senior role.
Strong knowledge of accounting standards, taxation, and ERP systems.
