Supervise the day-to-day operations of the accounting department.
Monitor and control all hotel expenses and revenue to ensure profitability.
Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports and statements.
Manage cash flow, forecasting, and budgeting processes.
Ensure accurate ledger postings and reconciliations (bank, receivables, payables, etc.).
Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations, as well as company policies.
Coordinate internal and external audits and implement audit recommendations.
Maintain proper documentation and internal control systems.
Lead, mentor, and train the accounting staff.
Assign duties and review work for accuracy and compliance.
Evaluate performance and support employee development.
Collaborate with other hotel departments (Front Office, F&B, Housekeeping) on financial matters.
Monitor and analyze daily revenue reports (from PMS, POS, etc.).
Reconcile guest accounts, credit card transactions, and chargebacks.
Assist in pricing strategies, cost control, and inventory management.
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (CPA or MBA preferred).
Minimum 5 years of experience in accounting, with at least 2 years in a managerial role (preferably in hospitality).
Strong knowledge of hospitality accounting systems (e.g., Opera, SunSystems, SAP, QuickBooks, etc.).
Proficient in Microsoft Excel and financial reporting tools.
Excellent analytical, communication, and organizational skills.
Ability to handle multiple tasks and meet tight deadlines.
Full-time role; may require weekends or holidays depending on reporting deadlines.
Office-based but involves collaboration with all hotel departments.
