Key Responsibilities:

Internal Auditing: Conduct regular internal audits to assess the effectiveness of financial controls, risk management, and operational processes. Provide recommendations for improving internal controls and mitigating financial risks.

Financial Compliance: Ensure the company’s financial activities are compliant with relevant laws, accounting standards (GAAP/IFRS), and industry-specific regulations. Identify areas of non-compliance and suggest corrective actions.

Audit Planning: Assist in developing annual audit plans by identifying key areas for review and determining audit priorities. Evaluate financial reports, systems, and processes to ensure operational efficiency.

Audit Execution: Perform comprehensive audits of financial statements, including accounts payable/receivable, payroll, tax compliance, and fixed assets. Document findings and prepare audit reports that summarize issues and offer actionable insights.

Collaboration with External Auditors: Act as the point of contact for external auditors during audits, providing requested financial documents and explanations as needed. Coordinate audit schedules and resolve any audit-related issues.

Risk Assessment: Evaluate risk management processes and identify financial, operational, and compliance risks that could impact the company's objectives. Assist in developing strategies to mitigate identified risks.

Financial Reporting & Analysis: Analyze financial data and operational reports to ensure the accuracy of financial records. Report on audit results to senior management and provide recommendations for improvement.

Fraud Prevention: Identify potential fraud risks within the organization and recommend control mechanisms to prevent fraudulent activities.

Continuous Improvement: Stay current with industry trends, accounting regulations, and audit best practices. Advise the finance department on new audit technologies or methodologies that could enhance audit processes.

Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related field.
Professional certification (e.g., ACA, ACCA, CPA, or CIA) is highly preferred.
Proven experience (2-4 years) in auditing, preferably within the renewable energy, solar, or related industries.
Strong knowledge of auditing principles, financial regulations, and accounting standards (GAAP/IFRS).
Proficiency in audit software and MS Excel. Experience with ERP systems is a plus.
Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills with keen attention to detail.
Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to interact with both financial and non-financial stakeholders.
Ability to work independently, manage multiple audits, and meet deadlines.
A passion for renewable energy and sustainability is a plus.
