We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Radiology Typist to transcribe radiological reports and documentation accurately and efficiently. The ideal candidate will be responsible for typing dictated findings from radiologists into formal medical reports, ensuring consistency, medical accuracy, and confidentiality.
Accurately transcribe dictated reports from radiologists including X-rays, CT scans, MRIs, ultrasounds, and other imaging modalities.
Format and proofread medical reports to ensure clarity, accuracy, and compliance with medical standards.
Maintain and update patient records within the hospital information system (HIS) or radiology information system (RIS).
Work closely with radiologists, technicians, and administrative staff to ensure timely delivery of reports.
Ensure strict confidentiality and handling of sensitive patient information as per HIPAA or applicable data protection regulations.
Flag inconsistencies or discrepancies in dictation and seek clarification when needed.
High school diploma or equivalent; diploma or certification in medical transcription or typing preferred.
2+ years of experience in a medical transcription or typist role, preferably in radiology.
Fast and accurate typing skills (minimum 60 wpm preferred).
Strong knowledge of medical terminology, mainly radiological terms.
Familiarity with radiology information systems (RIS), PACS, and EMR/EHR platforms.
Certification in Medical Transcription or Health Information Technology.
Experience with voice recognition/dictation software (e.g., Dragon Medical).
Understanding of medical abbreviations, dictation nuances, and clinical workflow in radiology.
Ability to work under pressure and meet tight turnaround times.

Excellent grammar, spelling, and punctuation.
Strong organizational and time management skills.
