Job Title: Commi 1st - Bakery Production & Confectionery

Reports to: Sous Chef/Senior Chef

Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced and skilled Commi 1st to join our bakery production and confectionery team. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing, producing, and presenting high-quality baked goods, pastries, and confectionery items.

Key Responsibilities:

Bakery Production:

1. Prepare and produce bread, rolls, and other baked goods to the highest standards.
2. Develop and maintain skills in bread making, pastry production, and cake decorating.
3. Maintain a clean and organized workspace, adhering to health and safety standards.

Confectionery:

1. Prepare and produce pastries, cakes, and other confectionery items to the highest standards.
2. Develop and maintain skills in sugar work, chocolate work, and other confectionery techniques.
3. Ensure high-quality presentation and decoration of confectionery items.

Leadership and Teamwork:

1. Supervise and guide junior staff members to ensure tasks are completed efficiently and effectively.
2. Collaborate with the bakery and confectionery team to achieve production targets and meet deadlines.
3. Participate in training and development programs to improve skills and knowledge.

Requirements:

1. Diploma/Certificate in Bakery and Confectionery or related field.
2. At least 2-3 years of experience in a bakery production and confectionery environment.
3. Strong knowledge of baking and confectionery techniques, ingredients, and equipment.
4. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines.
5. Strong leadership and teamwork skills.
6. Ability to lift up to 25 kg and stand for long periods.
