Job Summary:
The Bending Operator is responsible for setting up, operating, and maintaining bending machines (such as CNC Press Brake, Hydraulic Bending Machines) to bend metal sheets or tubes according to technical drawings and production specifications.

Key Responsibilities:
Machine Setup & Operation:

Set up and operate bending machines (e.g., press brakes, hydraulic benders) as per production requirements.

Load and unload raw materials and finished parts safely.

Reading Drawings & Measurements:

Interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and work orders to determine bending requirements.

Measure and inspect parts using calipers, micrometers, and other precision tools to ensure accuracy.

Tooling & Die Selection:

Select appropriate dies, punches, and tools for different bending operations.

Adjust machine settings like pressure, angle, and speed to achieve desired results.

Quality Control & Inspection:

Conduct first-piece and in-process inspections to maintain quality standards.

Identify defects and take corrective actions.

Machine Maintenance & Safety:

Perform routine machine maintenance and keep work areas clean.

Follow all safety guidelines and wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE).

Process Improvement & Reporting:

Report machine malfunctions and suggest improvements for better efficiency.

Maintain production logs and update supervisors about any deviations.

Skills & Qualifications:
ITI/Diploma in Mechanical, Fitter, or a related field.

Experience in operating CNC or manual bending machines.

Ability to read technical drawings and use measuring instruments.

Knowledge of different materials like MS, SS, and aluminum.

Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.

Work Environment:
Factory/Workshop setting with exposure to machinery and metalworking processes.

Requires standing for long hours and lifting moderate weights.
