Role Summary:
The Labor Management Officer will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of labor-related functions within the organization. This includes manpower planning, discipline enforcement, attendance tracking, compliance with labor laws, contractor coordination, and shop floor management. A key part of the role is to improve workforce efficiency, implement training programs, and ensure safety standards are maintained across departments.

Key Responsibilities:
1. Labor Management & Workforce Planning
Map department-wise manpower requirements and ensure timely labor availability.
Coordinate with labor contractors for workforce sourcing and allocation.
Forecast labor needs based on production plans and seasonal demand trends.
Monitor daily attendance and report department-wise absenteeism trends.
Maintain records of shift allocations, overtime, and replacements.

2. Shop Floor Supervision
Enforce discipline and ethical conduct among shop floor workers.
Ensure adherence to production floor protocols and behavioral standards.
Conduct surprise audits to check workforce efficiency and productivity.

3. Safety and Training Programs
Design and implement Safety Training programs for all levels of workers.
Schedule Labor Training Calendar for skill development and upskilling.
Ensure proper documentation of training attendance and outcomes.
Collaborate with safety officers to ensure regulatory compliance and workplace safety.

4. Compliance & Legal
Maintain up-to-date knowledge of labour laws, and ensure full compliance.
Handle grievances, conflicts, or disputes in a timely and lawful manner.
Support internal and external audits related to labor law adherence.

5. Performance Monitoring & Improvement
Track and manage Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) for workers.
Analyze productivity metrics to identify bottlenecks.
Collaborate with operations to align labor performance with production goals.

6. Reporting & Data Management
Prepare weekly and monthly reports on manpower, absenteeism, discipline, and productivity.
Analyze labor data to provide insights for strategic decision-making.

Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources, Labour Studies, Public Administration, or a related field.
2–5 years of relevant experience in labor relations, employee management, or compliance.

Experience in a unionized, government, or legal setup is an advantage.
