Key Responsibilities:
Perform MIG welding on a variety of metals such as steel, stainless steel, and aluminum.
Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and welding symbols to understand the requirements of each project.
Prepare, clean, and align materials before welding, ensuring proper fit and alignment.
Operate and maintain MIG welding equipment and tools, ensuring safety and efficiency.
Inspect completed welds to ensure they meet quality standards and specifications.
Identify and troubleshoot welding issues, making necessary adjustments to meet production standards.
Maintain a clean and safe work environment, adhering to safety standards and regulations.
Work closely with supervisors and team members to ensure timely completion of welding tasks.
Ensure proper storage of materials and supplies, maintaining inventory levels as needed.
Participate in training and continuous improvement programs to enhance skills and knowledge.
Qualifications:
Proven experience as a MIG Welder, preferably in a manufacturing or construction setting.
Certification in welding (e.g., AWS, ASME, or equivalent) preferred.
Strong knowledge of welding techniques, tools, and materials.
Ability to read and understand technical drawings and blueprints.
Excellent attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work.
Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
Strong communication skills and ability to follow instructions.
Knowledge of safety standards and practices related to welding.
