Job Title: Academic Coordinator
Location: Kannan's Academy, Madurai & School Centers
Reports to: Vice Head - Academics & Chief Mentor (Head Academics)
Job Description:
The Academic Coordinator will play a pivotal role in supporting the Vice Head-Academics in the effective management and execution of academic programs. This position requires a highly organized individual with a strong background in education or a similar field, along with proficiency in the MS Office Suite, particularly MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work collaboratively within a dynamic educational environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Course Management:
Coordinate the scheduling of courses, including class timings, faculty assignments, and resource allocation.
Assist Vice Head-Academics in the development and implementation of course curricula and materials.
Monitor and assess student progress and provide feedback to faculty and students.
Conduct research on educational trends and best practices to enhance the academy's curriculum.
Administrative Support:
Maintain accurate records of student enrolment, attendance, and performance with accuracy and confidentiality of information.
Prepare reports and presentations on course performance and student outcomes using MS Office Suite.
Assist in the creation and distribution of course-related materials, including syllabi, handouts, and online resources.
Communication:
Serve as the primary point of contact for students, parents, and faculty regarding course-related inquiries.
Facilitate effective communication between faculty and students to address academic concerns and enhance the learning experience.
Event Coordination:
Organize and coordinate any assessment conducted by the academy to enhance student learning and preparation.
Assist in the planning and execution of promotional events and open houses.
Assist Vice Head-Academics in preparation of academic related power point presentations.
Quality Assurance:
Monitor and evaluate course effectiveness, providing recommendations for improvements.
Assist Vice Head-Academics to implement feedback mechanisms to gather input from students and faculty to enhance course quality.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Education, Administration, or a related field preferred.
Previous experience in an academic setting or educational administration is highly desirable.
Proficient in MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) with the ability to create and manage documents, spreadsheets, and presentations effectively.
Strong organizational and multitasking skills, with a keen attention to detail.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with a diverse group of individuals.
Knowledge of NEET, JEE, and Olympiad exam formats and preparation strategies is a plus.
This position is primarily full-time office-based with flexibility to manage operations at both school centres and the Madurai center.
