Job Summary:
The Area Sales Manager (ASM) is responsible for driving sales growth, developing distribution channels, managing a sales team, and achieving revenue targets in the assigned region. The role involves strategic planning, market analysis, team leadership, and relationship management with distributors, retailers, and key stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities:
Sales & Business Development:
Achieve and exceed sales targets within the assigned territory.
Identify new market opportunities and expand the customer base.
Develop and implement sales strategies to enhance revenue growth.
Distributor & Retailer Management:
Establish and maintain strong relationships with distributors and retailers.
Monitor stock levels, ensure proper supply chain management, and optimize product availability.
Team Leadership & Development:
Recruit, train, and mentor the sales team to enhance their performance.
Market Research & Analysis:
Conduct competitor analysis and understand market trends.
Gather customer feedback to improve product offerings and marketing strategies.
Key Requirements:
Bachelor's/Master’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field.
Proven experience in FMCG sales, preferably in a managerial role.
Strong leadership, negotiation, and communication skills.
Ability to analyze data and market trends for strategic decision-making.
Willingness to travel within the assigned area.
