Job Summary:
The Area Sales Manager is responsible for generating sales and managing customer relationships within a specified region. This involves actively prospecting, presenting products/services, and closing deals to achieve sales targets. The role requires strong communication skills, the ability to build rapport with customers, and the determination to drive sales results in a competitive market.
Key Responsibilities:
Sales Generation: Actively seek new business opportunities and generate leads through direct contact with potential clients.
Client Relationship Management: Build and maintain long-term relationships with existing clients by offering excellent customer service and support.
Product Presentations: Conduct face-to-face meetings with clients, providing detailed product information and demonstrations.
Negotiation & Closing Deals: Present sales proposals, negotiate prices and terms, and close deals to meet or exceed sales targets.
Market Research: Stay informed about industry trends, competitors, and market conditions to identify opportunities for business growth.
Reporting: Track sales activities and results using CRM software, providing regular updates on progress, challenges, and forecasts to the Sales Manager.
Customer Feedback: Gather customer feedback and insights to contribute to product/service improvements and enhance customer satisfaction.
Collaboration: Work closely with the marketing and product teams to align sales strategies and ensure the effective promotion of products/services.
Skills and Qualifications:
Proven experience as a Sales Executive or relevant role in sales, preferably in field sales.
Strong understanding of sales principles and customer service practices.
Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
High level of motivation and target-driven.
Familiarity with CRM software (e.g., Salesforce) is a plus.
A valid driver's license and willingness to travel within the designated area.
Education and Experience:
Minimum 12 th std or Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field (optional).
At least 12 months of experience in field sales or a customer-facing role.
Experience in industry-specific knowledge or product knowledge is a plus.
Salary:
Base Salary: ₹22,000.00 - ₹33,000.00 per month (depending on experience and location)
Working Conditions:
Field-based role requiring frequent travel within the assigned region.
Flexibility in working hours to accommodate client schedules.
