Job Title: Faculty - Data Science
Location: Tilak Maharashtra Vidyapeeth, 2nd floor, Kesari Wada, Narayan Peth, Pune 411030
Job Type: Full-Time

Job Summary:

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced faculty member to join our institution's Data Science department. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in data science, artificial intelligence, machine learning, and related fields. The faculty member will be responsible for teaching undergraduate and/or graduate courses, conducting research, mentoring students, and contributing to the academic community.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and deliver courses in Data Science, Machine Learning, Artificial Intelligence, Big Data Analytics, and related fields.

• Conduct high-quality research and publish in peer-reviewed journals and conferences.

• Supervise and mentor students in academic and research activities.

• Collaborate with industry partners for research and project opportunities.

• Participate in curriculum development and enhancement.

• Engage in departmental and institutional service activities.

• Stay updated with the latest advancements in Data Science and incorporate them into teaching and research.

Qualifications and Requirements:

• A Ph.D. or Master's degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics, or a related field.

• Prior teaching experience at the university level is preferably more than 3years.

• Strong research background with publications in reputed journals/conferences.

• Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, R, SQL, and data science tools.

• Excellent communication and presentation skills.

• Experience with Offline, online and hybrid teaching methodologies is an advantage.

Preferred Skills:

• Hands-on experience with cloud computing platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud).

• Knowledge of deep learning frameworks such as TensorFlow or PyTorch.

• Industry experience in Data Science projects is a plus.

• Ability to work in a multidisciplinary environment.
