1. Job Summary

We are seeking a proactive and organized Floor Controller to oversee daily operations on the workshop floor at our service center in Singasandra, Bangalore.

The role involves coordinating job allocation, ensuring timely completion of service activities, and maintaining workflow efficiency.

The Floor Controller acts as the key link between technicians, service advisors, and management to ensure smooth operations, quality service, and customer satisfaction.

This role requires strong leadership, time management, and problem-solving skills to meet daily production goals and maintain high standards of service delivery.

2. Key Responsibilities
Plan, monitor, and control the daily workflow of service activities on the workshop floor.
Allocate jobs to technicians based on their skills, experience, and availability.
Track the status of ongoing repairs, ensuring timely completion and adherence to deadlines.
Ensure optimal utilization of technicians and minimize downtime.
Monitor quality checks and ensure all work meets service quality standards.
Serve as a point of contact for service advisors, technicians, and management regarding job status.
Address operational bottlenecks and resolve issues affecting production timelines.
Ensure adherence to health, safety, and environmental standards on the workshop floor.
Provide daily reports on technician productivity, job status, and operational issues.
Assist in conducting technical audits, quality inspections, and ensuring corrective actions are taken.
3. Required Skills and Qualifications
Education:
Diploma/ITI in Automobile Engineering or a related field.
Experience:
Minimum of 7-10 years of experience in a service center, car garage, or automotive workshop, with experience in supervisory roles preferred.
Technical Skills:
Knowledge of automotive repair processes, workshop operations, and technical documentation.
Proficiency in using service management software and job tracking systems.
Shift:
May require rotational shifts based on customer demands and service volume.
