We seek a detail-oriented, technically skilled, and safety-conscious Solar Installation Technician to join our growing team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the end-to-end installation, commissioning, and maintenance of residential, commercial, and industrial solar photovoltaic (PV) systems. This role is pivotal in ensuring high-quality execution of solar projects in line with engineering specifications, safety standards, and customer satisfaction benchmarks.
Install, wire, and commission rooftop and ground-mounted solar PV systems, including panels, inverters, mounting structures, and electrical components.
Perform site surveys, shading analysis, and structural assessments as required.
Interpret technical drawings, electrical schematics, and layout plans to ensure precision in installation.
Collaborate with the project team to ensure timely execution of installation tasks as per the defined project timelines.
Adhere to all relevant safety codes, regulations, and standard operating procedures (SOPs).
Conduct routine testing, troubleshooting, and maintenance of installed systems to ensure optimal performance and longevity.
Maintain accurate documentation of work completed, including site photos, checklists, and commissioning reports.
Provide on-site technical support and guidance to junior technicians or subcontracted workforce, if applicable.
Ensure compliance with local authority and utility requirements during installation and grid integration.
ITI / Diploma in Electrical, Electronics, Mechanical, or related technical discipline.
Minimum 1–3 years of hands-on experience in solar PV installation.
Familiarity with electrical wiring, panel integration, and inverter programming.
Strong understanding of safety procedures, PPE usage, and work-at-height practices.
Working knowledge of tools, meters, and installation equipment relevant to the solar industry.
Ability to work independently and in a team, often under physically demanding site conditions.
Certification from recognized solar training institutes (e.g., NISE, Suryamitra, etc.).
Experience with on-grid, off-grid, and hybrid solar systems.
Valid driver's license and willingness to travel to various project sites.
