Job Summary:

We are seeking a dedicated and reliable Picker Packer to join our team in the manufacturing steel industry. The ideal candidate will be responsible for accurately picking, packing, and preparing steel products for shipment. This role requires attention to detail, physical stamina, and a strong commitment to safety and efficiency in a fast-paced industrial environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Picking and Packing:

  • Accurately pick steel products and materials according to order specifications.

  • Pack items securely, ensuring all materials are properly protected for shipment.

  • Verify product quantities, specifications, and part numbers before packing.

  • Label and tag packed products with shipping information and ensure that all necessary documentation is included.

• Inventory Management:

  • Assist in maintaining accurate stock levels and report discrepancies.

  • Participate in regular inventory counts and help organize the warehouse efficiently.

• Shipping Preparation:

  • Assist in preparing products for shipment, including preparing pallets, labeling, and ensuring proper documentation.

  • Ensure all safety protocols are followed when moving products.

  • Maintain clean and organized workstations.

• Quality Control:

  • Inspect steel products for damage, defects, or discrepancies during the picking and packing process.

  • Report any quality issues to the supervisor.

• Safety and Compliance:

  • Follow all safety guidelines and industry regulations to maintain a safe working environment.

  • Wear required personal protective equipment (PPE) and follow proper handling procedures.

Qualifications:

• Experience:

  • Minimum 6 months of experience in a warehouse, manufacturing, or similar environment. Experience in the steel industry or related manufacturing field is preferred.

• Skills and Abilities:

  • Ability to read and interpret order forms, inventory systems, and shipping labels.

  • Basic math skills for order verification and inventory tracking.

  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.

  • Ability to lift and carry heavy materials (up to 50 lbs).

  • Good communication skills and ability to work well in a team.

• Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to stand, bend, lift, and walk for extended periods.

  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced and physically demanding environment.

• Other Requirements:

  • Ability to work flexible shifts, including evenings or weekends if necessary.

  • Must be punctual, reliable, and adhere to work schedule
