Dish Washer

A dishwasher's primary responsibility is to maintain a clean and sanitary kitchen environment by washing, sanitizing, and storing dishes, glassware, and utensils. They also help with other kitchen tasks like prepping food, bussing tables, and maintaining the kitchen's cleanliness. 

Key Responsibilities:

• Operating and Maintaining Dishwashers: Loading and unloading dishes, cleaning the dishwasher, and ensuring it's functioning properly. 

• Sanitizing and Washing: Thoroughly washing dishes, glassware, and utensils by hand or using the dishwasher. 

• Maintaining Kitchen Cleanliness: Sweeping, mopping, and cleaning work surfaces to keep the kitchen tidy. 

• Assisting with Other Kitchen Tasks: Helping with food preparation, busing tables, and other tasks as needed. 

• Trash Management: Removing trash and recycling containers, ensuring they are emptied regularly. 

• Inventory Management: Monitoring cleaning supplies and restocking them when needed. 

• Following Safety Procedures: Adhering to all health and safety guidelines related to food handling and kitchen sanitation. 

In addition to the core responsibilities, a dishwasher may also be asked to:

• Clean and sanitize food prep stations and equipment.

• Help with organizing and storing clean dishes and utensils.

• Assist with closing procedures, including cleaning and sanitizing the kitchen after service.
