Role/Position: Desktop Support Engineer
Reporting to: IT Head
Location: Rajajinagar, Bangalore
Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and proactive Desktop Support Engineer to manage and
maintain our IT infrastructure across corporate and store locations. The ideal candidate
will possess strong technical expertise, excellent problem-solving abilities, and a
commitment to providing top-tier support to all users.
Key Responsibilities:
• System Support: Install, configure, and troubleshoot desktops, laptops
(Windows OS), and basic server systems.
• User Assistance: Provide technical support to users at corporate offices and
retail stores.
• Microsoft 365 Management: Install and configure Microsoft 365 applications,
including Outlook, OneDrive, and Teams.
• Email & Backup: Handle email setup, perform backups, and monitor system
performance.
• CCTV Systems: Install, configure, and troubleshoot CCTV systems.
• Application Support: Configure and support ERP and POS (EPOS) applications.
• Remote Support: Provide assistance using tools like Any Desk and Ultra Viewer.
• Network Maintenance: Assist in the installation and maintenance of routers,
switches, and firewalls.
• Asset Management: Track and manage IT assets, maintaining inventory across
all locations.
• Employee Onboarding/Offboarding: Set up systems and email access for new
hires and manage exits.
• Policy Implementation: Assist in implementing IT policies and SOPs as directed
by the IT Head.
• Infrastructure Maintenance: Maintain and support IT infrastructure at all stores
and offices.
• Hardware Repair: Perform basic troubleshooting and repair for systems and
laptops.
• System Monitoring: Monitor network and system health using basic tools.
Eligibility Criteria:
• Education: Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a
related field.
• Experience: Minimum of 2 years in a similar role.
• Certifications: CCNA , MCSE , or equivalent networking knowledge (preferred).
Required Skills:
• Proficiency in desktop/laptop support (Windows OS – client/server).
• Experience with Microsoft 365 applications: Outlook, OneDrive, Teams.
• Familiarity with remote support tools: Any Desk, Ultra Viewer.
• Knowledge of CCTV installation and troubleshooting.
• Experience with ERP and POS (EPOS) application support.
• Basic understanding of networking: routers, firewalls, switches.
• Competence in IT asset management and tracking.
• Ability to perform basic hardware repairs on laptops and desktops.
• Understanding of IT infrastructure needs, including cooling, cabling, and power.
• Knowledge of IT SOPs and governance.
