Job Description

Label medications and provide medicines as per prescription
Collect blood samples and perform laboratory tests

1.Home Collection Visits: Travel to patients’ residences for blood sample collection as per scheduled appointments.
2.Venipuncture & Sample Collection: Draw blood using safe and hygienic techniques, ensuring minimal discomfort to the patient.
3.Proper Sample Handling: Label, store, and transport collected samples to the laboratory while maintaining sample integrity.
4.Patient Care & Safety: Ensure a professional, courteous, and empathetic approach while dealing with patients, especially elderly and critical-care patients.
5.Documentation & Reporting: Maintain accurate records of sample collection, patient details, and collection timings.
6.Equipment Maintenance: Ensure all phlebotomy equipment, including vacutainers, needles, and safety kits, are adequately stocked and maintained.
7.Compliance & Hygiene: Follow all laboratory safety guidelines, infection control protocols, and biohazard disposal procedures.
8.Coordination: Communicate with the laboratory team regarding sample transportation and test requirements.
