Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Phlebotomist to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for drawing blood samples from patients for medical testing, transfusions, donations, or research. They must ensure proper handling and labeling of specimens while maintaining patient comfort and safety.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform venipunctures and capillary punctures to collect blood samples.

• Properly label and handle specimens to ensure accurate testing.

• Follow infection control and safety procedures during blood collection.

• Maintain patient comfort and professionalism during the procedure.

• Verify patient information and maintain accurate records.

• Process and transport specimens to the laboratory in a timely manner.

• Maintain cleanliness and organization of phlebotomy equipment and work areas.

• Communicate effectively with patients, doctors, and laboratory staff.

Requirements:

• Education: High school diploma or equivalent; certification in phlebotomy preferred.

• Certification: Certified Phlebotomy Technician (CPT) or equivalent (preferred).

• Experience: [Insert experience requirement – e.g., 1+ year of experience in phlebotomy].

• Skills:

  • Excellent venipuncture and blood collection skills.
