Job Summary: The Arc Welder in the Lift Line is responsible for welding metal components used in the assembly, repair, or maintenance of mechanical lifting systems. This includes working on parts like elevator components, crane frames, lift platforms, and other related machinery, ensuring all welds meet high standards for durability, safety, and functionality. Key Responsibilities:Welding Lift Components: Perform arc welding to fabricate and assemble metal parts used in lift systems, including elevator shafts, lift frames, cranes, hoist mechanisms, and other lifting equipment.Blueprint and Specifications Interpretation: Read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and welding specifications for lift components, ensuring precise adherence to safety standards and structural requirements.Material Selection: Choose appropriate welding materials, such as electrodes and wires, based on the specific lift system materials (e.g., steel, stainless steel, or aluminum).Quality Assurance: Inspect completed welds for quality and strength. Ensure the welds are free from cracks, imperfections, and other defects that could compromise the integrity of the lift system.Safety and Compliance: Follow safety guidelines and use proper protective gear (e.g., welding helmets, gloves, and goggles) while maintaining a clean and safe work environment. Ensure compliance with industry standards such as OSHA regulations.Repairs and Maintenance: Repair damaged or worn parts of lift systems by welding and restoring their structural integrity.
