Job Summary:
The Project Engineer is responsible for planning, coordinating, and overseeing elevator installation and modernization projects from initiation to completion. This includes ensuring timely execution, safety compliance, quality standards, and client satisfaction in coordination with cross-functional teams.
Key Roles & Responsibilities:
Project Planning & Execution
Review and analyze project specifications, drawings, and requirements.
Prepare project schedules, resource plans, and execution timelines.
Coordinate with the design, procurement, and installation teams.
Monitor project progress and adjust schedules as needed.
Site Management
Conduct site surveys and feasibility checks before installation.
Supervise and support site engineers and subcontractors.
Ensure proper installation as per safety and quality standards.
Material & Vendor Coordination
Ensure timely availability of materials and components.
Coordinate with vendors and subcontractors for timely execution.
Manage logistics and site readiness.
Customer Interaction
Act as the point of contact for customers during the execution phase.
Provide regular updates and resolve site-related issues.
Ensure customer satisfaction with installation and handover.
Quality & Compliance
Conduct inspections and quality checks during and post-installation.
Ensure adherence to company and statutory safety protocols.
Coordinate with regulatory bodies for inspection & approvals.
Reporting & Documentation
Maintain project documentation including daily reports, checklists, and photographs.
Provide regular reports on project status to management.
Ensure proper project closure and handover documentation.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree / Diploma in Mechanical, Electrical, or Electronics Engineering.
3–5 years of relevant experience in elevator or escalator installation projects.
