Job Description

Producing quality goods on a large scale using machinery and labor
Sorting and packaging of products

Qualifications: Graduate Engineer or Diploma (Mechanical/Chemical Engineer). Additional qualifications in HSE/5S/SQC,SPC/ other shop floor improvement programs will be added advantage

Experience: Total experience 10 years of which minimum 5 years have to be in the paint industry.
Should have had the experience to manage paint manufacturing machines/utilities / overall electrical and mechanical needs.
Should have working knowledge of preventive maintenance/ waste and water management. Should have the experience and ability to manage people and work in teams.

Typical Roles and Responsibilities:

-Shop Floor Management
-Machine Planning and Production Planning & Scheduling
-Manpower Management (on rolls and contract)
-Budgeting and Managing cost within Budget and norms.
-Batch yield, Production Cost, Wastage Reduction
-Be able to carry out SPC and SQC processes to improve batch yield and minimize cost.
-Be able to contribute to cost engineering and process improvement.
-Be able to understand paint formulations and run pilot to scale up process
-Be able to coordinate supply chain and logistics needs with appropriate departments
-Be able to understand and adhere to strict norms of safety and build a fool proof safety process
