Key Responsibilities:

Quality Control & Assurance: Oversee the inspection and testing of materials, components, and finished products throughout the manufacturing process. Ensure that all products meet the specified quality standards and customer specifications.

Develop & Implement Quality Systems: Establish and maintain quality control systems, including procedures, work instructions, and inspection criteria, to ensure consistent quality throughout production.

Root Cause Analysis & Problem Solving: Lead investigations into quality issues, non-conformances, and customer complaints. Identify the root causes and implement corrective and preventive actions to prevent recurrence.

Supplier Quality Management: Evaluate and monitor the performance of suppliers to ensure that raw materials and components meet quality standards. Develop and maintain strong relationships with suppliers to address any quality-related concerns.

Process Improvement: Continuously analyze production processes to identify areas for improvement. Use data-driven approaches such as Six Sigma, Lean, or other quality improvement methods to increase efficiency and reduce defects.

Compliance & Certifications: Ensure compliance with relevant industry standards, including ISO 9001 and other regulatory requirements. Manage audits, certifications, and documentation for quality assurance processes.

Team Leadership & Training: Lead and mentor a team of quality control inspectors and technicians. Provide ongoing training to staff to ensure that they are up to date with quality standards, inspection techniques, and industry best practices.

Documentation & Reporting: Maintain detailed records of inspections, tests, audits, and corrective actions. Prepare quality reports for management, detailing performance metrics, trends, and areas for improvement.

Customer Interaction: Act as a point of contact for customers regarding quality issues or complaints. Work with the customer service team to resolve any quality-related concerns and maintain strong customer relationships.

Safety & Environmental Standards: Ensure that quality control processes align with safety standards and environmental regulations. Promote a culture of safety and quality throughout the organization.

Qualifications:

Education: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Quality Management, Manufacturing, or a related field. A professional certification in quality management (e.g., ASQ CQE, Six Sigma) is a plus.

Experience: At least 5 years of experience in quality management, preferably in a sheet metal fabrication.

Technical Knowledge: Strong knowledge of sheet metal fabrication processes (e.g., laser cutting, welding, stamping, bending) and associated quality standards.

Quality Tools & Techniques: Proficiency with quality control tools and techniques such as SPC, root cause analysis, FMEA, and ISO standards. Experience with CAD software and quality management systems (QMS) is a plus.
