Job Title: Welder – Manufacturing Sheet Metal Interior Production

Job Summary:
As a Welder in Manufacturing Sheet Metal Interior Production, you will be responsible for welding, fabricating, and assembling sheet metal parts used in the creation of interior products. You will work with various metal types, primarily focusing on precision welding to produce components that meet design specifications, quality standards, and safety regulations. This role requires attention to detail, proficiency with welding techniques, and the ability to work with metal forms and structures for interior products.

Key Responsibilities:
Welding & Fabrication:

Perform welding on sheet metal parts, using techniques such as MIG, TIG, and arc welding.
Cut, shape, and prepare sheet metal pieces as required for interior product assembly.
Follow blueprints, technical drawings, and job specifications to accurately weld and assemble parts.
Quality Control & Inspection:

Ensure welded joints meet the company’s quality standards and specifications.
Inspect and test welded seams and finished metal parts for integrity, accuracy, and strength.
Perform routine checks to monitor the quality of work and identify defects.
Safety Compliance:

Follow all safety guidelines, including the use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
Maintain a safe and clean work environment by adhering to safety standards and protocols.
Machine Operation & Maintenance:

Operate welding machines, grinders, and other necessary equipment for metalworking.
Perform regular maintenance on welding tools and equipment to ensure proper functioning.
Team Collaboration:

Work closely with the production team to meet production deadlines and specifications.
Communicate with engineers, designers, and other team members to resolve any design or production issues.
Assembly:

Assemble fabricated metal components into subassemblies or final products.
Perform final touch-ups, such as grinding and polishing, to ensure smooth finishes on metal components.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
Proven experience as a welder in sheet metal or metal fabrication environments.
Knowledge of various welding techniques, including MIG, TIG, and Stick welding.
Ability to read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and schematics.
Proficient in the operation of welding equipment and tools.
Strong understanding of safety regulations and proper welding practices.
Experience with sheet metal forming, cutting, and finishing techniques.
Good hand-eye coordination and attention to detail.
Preferred Qualifications:
Certification in welding (e.g., AWS Certified Welder or equivalent).
Previous experience in manufacturing sheet metal for interior product production (e.g., vehicle interiors, HVAC, appliances).
Familiarity with automated or robotic welding systems.
Physical Requirements:
Ability to lift and carry heavy metal pieces, typically 50 lbs or more.
Extended periods of standing, bending, or kneeling.
Ability to work in a hot and noisy environment.
Work Schedule:
Full-time (Shift work may be required depending on production schedule).
