nterpret blueprints: Study and understand blueprints, measurements, sketches, and specifications
Prepare materials: Prepare, assemble, and tack weld parts and surfaces
Weld components: Join edges of work pieces, cut metal plates, and assemble work pieces together
Maintain equipment: Use and maintain specialized welding machines and equipment
Inspect materials: Inspect structures and materials before welding
Monitor welding process: Monitor stages of the welding process
Notify supervisor: Report faulty equipment or defective materials to a supervisor
