Welding:

Performs TIG welding (also known as GTAW - Gas Tungsten Arc Welding) to join various metals, including steel, aluminum, and stainless steel.

May also be involved in other welding processes like MIG (Metal Inert Gas) welding.
Follows blueprints and specifications to ensure accurate and high-quality welds.
Prepares materials for welding, including cutting, cleaning, and edge preparation.
Sets up and maintains welding equipment, including gas tanks, torches, and regulators.
Inspections of welds for quality and adherence to standards.

Fabrication:

May be involved in fabricating parts and components from shop drawings or blueprints.

Fits fabricated metal parts into products and assembles metal to produce machines and equipment.

Safety:

Adheres to strict safety regulations and procedures, including wearing appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE).

Maintains a clean and organized work area.
Identifies and reports potential safety hazards.

Other:

May perform minor maintenance on welding equipment.

May assist in other areas of the shop as needed.
Reads and interprets engineering drawings and blueprints.
May be required to lift and move materials.
May be required to work in different positions (flat, vertical, overhead).
May be required to work flexible hours and overtime.
