JD for the Marketing Intern: -

Overview:

The Marketing Intern will assist in various aspects of the sales process, gaining hands-on experience in international trade and logistics. This role is ideal for individuals interested in pursuing a career in sales management, global business, or related fields. The intern will work closely with the sales team, supporting day-to-day operations and contributing to the overall efficiency and success of the sales department.

Responsibilities:

1. Market Research: Conduct market research to identify potential sales opportunities, analyse market trends, and gather information on competitors and target markets.

2.  Communication: Correspond with international clients, freight forwarders, and other stakeholders to coordinate shipments, resolve inquiries, and provide exceptional customer service.

3. Compliance Support: Learn and adhere to export regulations and compliance requirements, ensuring all shipments comply with international trade laws and regulations.

4.  Support Sales Team: Provide administrative support to the sales team as needed, including filing documents, organizing files, and completing miscellaneous tasks to ensure smooth departmental operations.

5. Learning and Development: Actively participate in training sessions and educational opportunities to enhance understanding of sales processes, international trade, and related topics.

6.  Process Improvement: Identify opportunities for process improvement within the sales department, offering suggestions for enhancing efficiency and effectiveness.

Qualifications:

•   Currently enrolled in a degree program related to international business or a related field.

•  Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.

•  Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.

•  Ability to work effectively in a team environment.

•  Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).

•   Familiarity with export regulations and compliance requirements is a plus.

•   Fluency in additional languages is a plus, particularly languages commonly spoken in target sales markets.

Duration and Compensation:

• This is a 3-month internship position.
