Accountant

Job Overview:

We are looking for a dedicated and detail-oriented Junior Accountant with experience in using Tally to manage financial records and support daily accounting operations. The ideal candidate will assist in maintaining accurate financial transactions, preparing reports, and ensuring smooth day-to-day accounting processes.

Key Responsibilities:

• Daily Accounting Transactions: Enter and manage all accounting transactions using Tally ERP.

• Account Reconciliation: Perform regular reconciliation of bank accounts, ledgers, and other financial records to ensure accuracy.

• Invoice Processing: Record sales and purchase invoices, and ensure all entries are correctly made in Tally.

• Accounts Payable & Receivable: Assist in managing accounts payable and receivable, ensuring timely payments and collections.

• Voucher Entry: Prepare and enter various vouchers (journal, purchase, sales, payment, receipt, etc.) in Tally.

• Tax Compliance: Assist with GST, TDS, and other tax-related calculations and entries in Tally.

• Financial Reports: Assist in generating financial statements and reports (Profit & Loss, Balance Sheet) using Tally for review by senior management.

• Supporting Audits: Provide required data and assistance during audits and ensure all supporting documents are properly maintained in Tally.

• Month-End Closing: Assist in the month-end closing process by ensuring all transactions are recorded accurately.

• Data Entry & Filing: Maintain accurate records and files of accounting documents for easy retrieval and audit purposes.

• Expense Tracking: Ensure that all expenses are tracked and recorded in the system for proper financial analysis.

Qualifications:

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.

• Experience:

  • 1-4 years of experience in accounting roles.

  • Practical knowledge of Tally ERP and its functionalities.

• Skills:

  • Strong knowledge of basic accounting principles.

  • Proficiency in Tally ERP 9 or TallyPrime.

  • Ability to work with accounting software and basic Excel functions.

  • Attention to detail and high level of accuracy in accounting tasks.

  • Good understanding of GST, TDS, and other tax regulations.

  • Strong communication and organizational skills.

  • Ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently and within deadlines.
