Accountant

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee and manage all accounting transactions.

• Prepare and publish financial statements timely and monitor budget forecasts.

• Handle monthly, quarterly, and yearly financial closings.

• Ensure timely processing of bank payments and file tax returns accurately.

• Manage balance sheets and evaluate reports on financial health, liquidity, and cash flow.

• Maintain confidentiality of financial data and conduct data backups.

Job Requirements:

Financial Management & Reporting:

Manage daily financial transactions for all e-commerce sales channels (e.g., online store, third-party platforms).

Prepare and maintain accurate records of all online sales, returns, and inventory.

Reconcile e-commerce accounts to ensure accuracy and completeness.

Generate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports for senior management.

Inventory & Cost of Goods Sold (COGS) Management:

Track inventory levels and costs, ensuring alignment with online sales data.

Maintain accurate records of purchases, sales, and inventory valuation.

Calculate and report on COGS and gross profit margins for e-commerce sales.

Tax Compliance:

Ensure accurate sales tax collection, filing, and remittance for online transactions.

Keep up-to-date with the tax regulations and rates in different markets.

Prepare necessary documents for tax audits or inquiries related to e-commerce sales.

E-Commerce Platform Integration:

Work closely with the e-commerce team to integrate accounting processes with various online selling platforms (e.g., Shopify, Amazon, eBay).

Ensure that financial data from different platforms is correctly captured and reconciled.

Payment Processing & Reconciliation:

Oversee payment processing systems, ensuring smooth transactions and accurate payment tracking.

Reconcile daily e-commerce payments from credit cards, PayPal, and other payment gateways.

Analysis & Forecasting:

Analyze financial performance trends for e-commerce channels and provide actionable insights.

Assist with forecasting and budgeting for future online sales growth.

Compliance & Internal Controls:

Ensure compliance with financial regulations, company policies, and industry standards.

Help develop and maintain internal controls and best practices for e-commerce accounting operations.
