Senior Accountant

Job brief

We are looking for a Senior Executive Accountant, to join our accounting team. The candidate will be mainly responsible for Overall general accounting requirements.

Responsibilities

Responsible for complete R2R process

Responsible for forex transactions

Responsible for End-to-end Fixed Asset management

Reconciling discrepancies in financial entries

Understanding & knowledge of GST & TDS workings, reports and returns

Finalization of Accounts and preparing schedules to balance sheets, Profit & Loss a/c

Knowledge of accounting control procedures

Complying with month, quarter and year-end close processes

Maintaining general ledgers

Co-ordinate and complete statutory & other relevant audits

Skills Needed to be an Accountant 

To take on the accountant job description effectively requires:  

Ø  Technical Expertise – Sound conceptual understanding of basic accounting like double entry bookkeeping, credits/debits, GAAP, cost accounting etc. is a must.

Ø  Software Skills – Proficiency in using financial management systems like SAP. along with Excel at an advanced level. 

Ø  Analytics Mindset –Run through enormous transactional data to spot patterns, anomalies and insights critical for decision making.   Meticulous number crunching skills matter greatly.

Ø  Communication Ability – Intra department and Inter department communication skills in verbal as well in writing are essential.

Ø  Ethical Values – As custodians of financial data, accountants must demonstrate utmost integrity, honesty and professionalism always.

Qualifications  

Minimum 4 years of relevant experience in accounting

A Bachelor’s degree / Master’s degree in commerce or accounting is essential.
