We are looking for a highly skilled and motivated MIS Executive with expertise in Power BI to manage, analyze, and present data in a way that drives business insights. The ideal candidate must possess advanced analytical skills, proficiency in Power BI, and a strong background in data management. This role is key in supporting management decision-making through the preparation of accurate and actionable reports. The candidate must hold a postgraduate degree.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop and maintain interactive Power BI dashboards and reports to track business performance, trends, and key metrics.
Analyse complex datasets, extract meaningful insights, and translate them into actionable business recommendations.
Collaborate with various departments to understand reporting needs and deliver custom solutions in Power BI.
Perform data extraction, transformation, and loading (ETL) processes to ensure high-quality and accurate reporting.
Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and provide regular updates on business performance to senior management.
Ensure the integrity and consistency of data by implementing best practices in data governance and data quality control.
Provide data-driven insights and recommendations that support strategic and operational decision-making.
Conduct ad-hoc analysis and generate custom reports based on business requirements.
Automate reporting processes to improve efficiency and reduce manual effort.
Offer training and support to end-users to enhance their understanding of Power BI tools and reports.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
Postgraduate degree in Business Analytics, Computer Science, Information Technology, Data Science, or a related field.
Proven experience in developing reports and dashboards using Power BI.
Strong proficiency in SQL for data querying and manipulation.
Advanced Excel skills, including complex functions, pivot tables, and data analysis.
Solid understanding of data modeling, data visualization, and reporting best practices.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to work with large datasets.
Excellent communication skills, with the ability to present complex data in an understandable manner.
Ability to collaborate effectively with multiple departments and understand their reporting needs.
High attention to detail and a commitment to data accuracy.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience in creating automated reporting processes and integrating Power BI with other business tools.
Familiarity with other data visualization and BI tools is an advantage.
Knowledge of scripting or programming languages (e.g., Python, R) for advanced data analysis.
Previous experience in an MIS, Data Analyst, or Business Intelligence role.
