Job Summary:
We are seeking passionate and experienced Tandoor chefs to join our culinary team in Rajouri. The ideal candidates will have hands-on experience in preparing both vegetarian and non-vegetarian tandoor dishes and be committed to delivering high-quality, flavorful food in a fast-paced kitchen environment.
Key Responsibilities:
CDP – Tandoor (Veg & Non-Veg)
Lead the Tandoor section and manage daily operations.
Prepare, cook, and present authentic tandoori dishes including kebabs, breads (naan, roti), and grilled items.
Maintain food quality and consistency in taste and presentation.
Train and supervise junior staff (Commis 1 & 2).
Monitor inventory and ensure proper stock rotation.
Maintain hygiene and safety standards as per FSSAI norms.
Commis 1 – Tandoor (Veg & Non-Veg)
Assist CDP in preparation and cooking of tandoori items.
Ensure mise-en-place is ready for all dishes.
Follow standard recipes and portion sizes.
Help in receiving and storing supplies.
Clean and maintain the tandoor and kitchen area.
Commis 2 – Tandoor (Veg & Non-Veg)
Basic prep work under guidance of senior chefs.
Support in marination, skewer preparation, and baking breads.
Maintain cleanliness and assist in daily cleaning routines.
Learn and follow kitchen SOPs.
Skills & Requirements:
Proven experience in Indian tandoor cooking (Veg & Non-Veg).
Knowledge of traditional marinades, spices, and cooking methods.
Ability to work in a high-pressure environment.
Good communication and team coordination skills.
For CDP: Leadership and training abilities.
Preferred Qualifications:
Culinary diploma or equivalent training.
Knowledge of food safety standards.
Experience in busy standalone restaurants or hotel kitchens.
