Delivery Boy

Job Summary:

The Delivery Boy is responsible for delivering products from the warehouse or store to customers' homes or business locations. This role requires excellent time-management skills, a strong focus on customer service, and the ability to navigate the city or area to deliver items efficiently.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Product Delivery:

   • Pick up products from the warehouse, store, or restaurant.

   • Deliver items to customers according to scheduled times and locations.

   • Ensure all deliveries are completed in a timely and accurate manner.

2. Customer Interaction:

   • Greet customers warmly and provide excellent customer service during the delivery.

   • Address any customer concerns or complaints in a professional manner.

   • Collect payments, if required (cash, card, or digital payments).

3. Route Management:

   • Plan the most efficient route for deliveries to minimize delays.

   • Keep track of any changes in delivery schedules or customer requests.

   • Monitor traffic conditions and adjust routes when necessary.

4. Documentation and Reporting:

   • Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including items delivered and customer signatures.

   • Report any issues with deliveries, such as damaged goods or incorrect addresses, to management.

5. Safety and Vehicle Maintenance:

   • Ensure safe handling and transport of items during delivery.

   • Maintain the cleanliness and functionality of the vehicle used for deliveries.

   • Follow all road safety rules and company policies regarding the use of company vehicles or personal transportation.

6. Inventory Handling:

   • Verify the items being delivered and ensure they match the order details.

   • Assist with loading/unloading products, if necessary.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent.

• A valid driver’s license (if driving a vehicle) or ability to use a bicycle/motorbike.

• Good knowledge of local areas and routes.

• Strong communication and customer service skills.

• Ability to lift and carry packages.

• Time management and organizational skills.

• Punctuality and reliability.

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to stand, walk, or drive for extended periods.

• Ability to carry or transport packages of varying weights.

• Ability to work in different weather conditions if required.
